Longmont Ford Reviews the 2018 Ford Expedition

Big families need a big spacious ride. If that describes your family, you may want to take a look at the all-new 2018 Ford Expedition. It has been completely updated. Here’s what’s new for the Expedition at your Ford dealer Boulder CO.

Mechanical Improvements
To make the Expedition more efficient, there’s a ten-speed automatic transmission. The engine has gained strength. Power outlay is now rated at 375 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque. This Ecoboost unit includes stop-start for fuel efficiency. The weight-to-horsepower ratio also improved as the Expedition was revised with a majority-aluminum build. Platinum editions have a 400-horsepower engine. It cranks out 480 lb.-ft. of torque.

The SUV can tow as much as 9,000 pounds. Maneuvering is easier with the Pro Trailer Backup Assist. A revised four-wheel drivetrain makes it a better choice for Boulder CO drivers. It includes Selec-Terrain to help the SUV cope with road and off-road challenges.

Interior Updates
Engineers found more room inside the cabin. The seats are more flexible, and the back row is more accommodating. Choices include a seven- or eight-seat layout and a standard or Ford Expedition XLT Max cargo hold.

The dash tech has been updated with Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto. Tech equipment includes a Sync touchscreen, six USB ports, and available dual-headrest entertainment screens with home cable programming capability. Shoppers can get WiFi for the family’s smart devices.
