Longmont Ford Reviews the 2019 Ford Expedition
Since 1997, the Ford Expedition has been on of Ford’s top selling full size SUVs, and was actually Ford’s first full size SUV with a four door body. The 2019 Ford Expedition is carrying on the legacy with 6 unique trim levels to give consumers exactly what they need at a price point they can afford. Let’s take a closer look at each of these trim levels to see exactly what each has to offer.
Each trim level will feature a 3.5L Ecoboost engine, but the Platinum will get a slight power boost of up to 400 horsepower and 480 ft-lb of torque. These trim levels will also have the same basic features, but we will touch on some of the most standout features that consumers tend to look for.
For the new Expedition, the XLT trim level is going to be the base model that each trim level is going to be based on. It features the standard equipment and is the most affordable version of the Expedition. The XLT features a 3.5L Ecoboost V6 engine and ten speed select shift transmission with 2nd row tip-and slide seats, third row 60/0 Powerfold seats, body color bumpers, and auto start/stop technology.
Taking a step up from the base model is the Limited trim level, which includes all of the same features as the XLT, but with a few upgrades. These features include a B&O sound system, 20″ Ultra Bright machined aluminum wheels with tarnished dark-painted pockets, a Ford Pass Connect with 4G LT WiFi, power deployable running boards, and much more.
The Expedition Platinum trim level is the best of the best in the regular trim level offerings on the 2019 Expedition. Not only do you get the features found on the Limited editions, but you also get a few new upgrades as well. On the Platinum package, you will get 22″ polished aluminum wheels, a Panoramic Vista Roof with Power sunshade, adaptive cruise control with stop and g, and a power upgrade with 400 horsepower and 480 ft-lbs of torque.
The XLT Max trim level is going tobe the same as the XLT trim level, but it will be nearly a foot longer. This allows for the addition of 16.9 cubic feet of cargo space, making it a great choice for those who like to haul more than just a few groceries.
The Limited Max trim level is going tobe the same as the Limited trim level, but it will be nearly a foot longer. This allows for the addition of 16.9 cubic feet of cargo space, to allow for additional storage for those long road trips.
The Platinum Max trim level is going tobe the same as the Platinum trim level, but it will be nearly a foot longer. This allows for the addition of 16.9 cubic feet of cargo space, which is perfect for those who want the fully loaded, maximum amount of space SUV.
