Since its debut in 1991, the Ford Explorer has been a favorite among consumers for years making it one of the most successful vehicle lines in Ford’s history. With all of the additional safety features, technology upgrades, and looks, the 2019 Ford Explorer seems to carry the tradition with pride.

As consumers are making a large shift over to SUVS from smaller compact cars, we are already seeing the 2019 Ford Explorer gain a large popularity. With 4 different trim levels, you can find exactly what options you want in the style that you like. Let’s look through the features of each trim level and see what is going to be the best fit for you.

The XL trim level is going to always be Ford’s go to for the base level truck and SUV lines. This trim level, while being the bare bones package, is also going to be the most afforadable. Each trim level above this will be based of the standard features of the XL. On the XL, you will get Ford’s MyKey System, a 6 speaker Ford Sync System, LED tail lights, a rear view camera, 18” wheels, and comfortable cloth seats. As for the power-train, you will enjoy a powerful V6 engine an automatic transmission.

The 2019 Ford Explorer XLT is built off of the XL trim level and while it features many of the same amenities, it has a few standout upgrades and additions of it’s own. With the XLT model, you are going to get a dual zone automatic climate control, parking assist, dual panel moon-roof,blind spot detection, built in navigation, and premium cloth seating for the perfect amount of comfort.

As the middle child of the trim level, the Limited trim package for the 2019 Ford Explorer is going to be you middle ground between base and fully loaded. Typically, you are going to get the best value as the features greatly outweigh the price point. The Limited trim level will include a built in navigation system, leather seat trim, fog lights, Sirius radio, front heated seats, dual zone automatic climate control, 20” silver aluminum wheels and a 2.3L engine.

If you are wanting a more sportier look on your new Explorer, the Sport trim level is going to give that to you. Featuring the same upgrades as the Limited, the Sport boasts it’s own upgrades in the form of a 3.5L V6 engine and 4 wheel drive. This is the perfect vehicle for those who want a high performing SUV that can take on a little off roading as well.

For those wanting the most fully loaded 2019 Ford Explorer available, the Platinum edition is going to be what you want. This trim level is going to feature all of the great features of the Sport, with more stand out upgrades. A few of those upgrades include a 1st row regular express open/close sliding and titled glass sunroof, rain sensing windshield wipers, and active park assist.
